About this weather bingo set

Weather bingo is a natural fit for a morning circle-time routine and for the science unit that usually follows it. The list includes mild and severe conditions plus the instruments used to measure them, so one set can carry a whole week of lessons rather than a single five-minute game. It is also one of the few sets that works as a long-running classroom chart: mark a square each time that weather actually happens outside. Cards are generated in your browser, so no account or install is needed on school devices, and each card in a batch is unique. Use the seed to reprint an identical chart next term. One card on the wall, marked across a month, turns it into a class weather record.

Who it suits

Primary teachers, homeschool parents and scout or guide leaders covering weather badges.

Ways to play

  • Month-long chart: cover a square when that weather actually happens.
  • Forecast round where pupils predict tomorrow's squares.
  • Instrument-matching version for older pupils.

Questions

Is the severe-weather vocabulary suitable for young children?

It is standard primary science vocabulary. If you would rather avoid it, edit the list in the custom word box.

Can I run this as a month-long activity?

Yes, that is one of the most common uses — one card on the wall, marked whenever the weather appears.

Does it work outside the UK and US?

Yes. It covers conditions found almost everywhere, and monsoon and heatwave make it usable in tropical climates too.
