Privacy policy
The short version
There is no account, no login and no upload. The word lists and settings you type into a generator stay in your browser tab. We do not receive them, store them, or send them anywhere.
What is stored on your device
The site saves a small number of preferences in your browser's local storage so the next visit starts where you left off: paper size, grid size, card count, text size, the seed of the last batch, and your choice on analytics. You can clear these at any time from your browser settings; nothing breaks if you do.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which generators are used and where people get stuck. Consent starts as denied, which means no analytics cookies are written and no events are sent until you press Accept. Declining leaves the setting denied. Events record which generator was used, the grid size and card count — never the words you type.
Children
The site is used in classrooms and by families. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and because no account exists there is nothing for a child to submit.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR and similar laws you can ask what data is held about you, ask for it to be deleted, or object to processing. In practice there is very little to hand over: we hold no account data. Email winyeates@gmail.com and we will answer honestly, including "we hold nothing" where that is the case.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be reflected on this page rather than buried in a changelog.
