About this birthday bingo set

A birthday bingo card has to survive a room of excited children, so this list sticks to things that are physically at the party — cake, hats, goodie bags — rather than anything abstract. It is theme-neutral on purpose: it works for a five-year-old and for a fortieth because the words are the same. Hosts typically hand cards out as guests arrive and play one round before cake, which settles the room down. You can print up to thirty unique cards in one go, and since everything is generated in the browser there is no risk of the site going down mid-party. Save the seed if you want the identical cards for a sibling's party next month. Parents often print a second batch once they see how quickly the first round finishes.

Who it suits

Parents hosting children's parties, teachers using party-themed rewards, and adults planning milestone birthdays.

Ways to play

  • Arrival bingo: cover a square as guests walk in wearing or carrying it.

Questions

Does this suit adult birthdays as well?

It does — the words are party basics rather than anything childish, so it reads fine at an adult celebration.

Can I swap in a themed list, like dinosaurs?

Yes. Paste your own theme words into the custom word box and the cards will be built from them.

What paper should I use?

Standard printer paper is fine; 160gsm card stock is better if children will be handling the cards for a while.
